I would prefer that these remain free. However, to the extent that the State were to charge for this information, it should be a annual subscription fee, not to exceed $100 per year per court. To charge anything, however, would be a mistake, especially given that the costs to provide web access are primarily complete with the costs incurred to provide it to the first user and, thus, providing the information to a thousand users costs almost nothing more than to provide it to one. Do you think the public and litigants should be charged less than attorneys and businesses? DAS ANSWER: I would prefer that the State start putting opinions on the web so that they are easily accessible to all, regardless of how or by whom they will be used.
